Founders Tournament – Women’s and Men’s Pairs

Once upon a time in the kitchen of a small modest home in Sidney a group of six citizens from varying backgrounds and job experiences joined hands and minds to one objective – create from nothing a bowling green in Sidney. In mere months the idea blossomed into a plan with real potential and thus through hard and determined work, it came to pass that the Sidney Lawn Bowling was transformed from an idea into a reality.  The Founders are  recognized by plaques displayed in both the trophy room and the assembly room and annually are paid homage by two annual club tournaments, the Women’s Founders and the Men’s Founders. Both are pairs competitions conducted separately but run at the same time.
