CLUB DRAWS & LEAGUES

Commodore's Chalice [Mondays 9:00 AM - 12:00 NOON]
Primarily for bowlers who began bowling between 2016 and to-day. A bowling session that combines coaching with playing the game under direction of the club's coaches. Intended to encourage the newer bowler to be confident in joining club draws and tournaments by adding to their knowledge of the game and increasing their skill level. Coordinator is Ron Leslie aided by Club Coaches.  

Pairs League [Mondays 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM]
This is a weekly league starting June 28 running for 8 weeks open to all active members. You must enter as a team. Pairs may be male, female or mixed. The coordinator is Bev Carter. Please register in advance of June 28 by emailing [email protected] with your name and your team member’s name with the Subject Line: Monday PM.

Open Play [Mondays 4:00 PM – 8:30 PM]
Available for all members. Open Bowling for all Club members for practice or informal games.

Captain's Cup Draw [Tuesdays 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM]
Primarily for Skips and Third-Skips and must be experienced enough to play Skip. A dress code is in effect (whites or club colours) and there is a strict observance of game rules and sportsmanship. Anna Wallace is the coordinator of this event.

75 and over McMynn Cup Draw [Tuesdays 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM]
This is the only club draw that has an age restriction. You must have reached your 75th birthday to enter.

Youth Program [Tuesdays 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM]
Juniors Ages 8 to 17 with parental permission and Youth 18 to 25.  Priority for the Green rests with the Youth group these evenings. In the event that all the rinks are not being used they can be made available for practice, please check with a youth coach first. Coordinators for this event are John and Maryann Little.

Women’s Draw [Wednesdays 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM]
The morning is reserved for the women of the club to bowl in a social draw. Open to all the female members of the club. Games are decided by the Draw master based on the number of entries.

Men’s Draw [Wednesdays 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM]
The afternoon belongs to the men. All male members of the Club are welcome for this Draw.
Games are decided by the Draw master based on the number of entries.

Donut Draw [Thursdays 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM]
This is one of our most popular weekly draws. Games are decided by the Draw master based on the number of entries. One game of 12 ends each is played with a social break in the middle.
Tea/coffee are available outside as are donuts all at the posted cost. Highly sociable morning draw and the one day of the week you can forget your diet - it's unCanadian to pass on a donut.

MacLean Cup Draw [Thursdays 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM].
This is a weekly draw open to all active members. An option is available for bowlers to keep track of their won/lost record over the season with the highest aggregate score awarded the MacLean Trophy; given to honour the memory of Walter MacLean, a true pillar of our club for many years. Walter's photograph is included in the gallery of past club presidents.

Novice Coaching [Thursdays 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM]
Reserved for first year bowlers with their coaches.

Mixed Pairs League [Fridays 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM]
You must enter as a team. This is a weekly league starting June 28 running for 8 weeks open to all active members.

This is a weekly draw open to all active members.

Scotch Pairs Draw [Saturdays 9 AM – 12PM]
This weekly draw is intended to encourage new bowlers to join in with the Clubs more experienced bowlers. First and second year players join with more experienced players and switch being lead or skip halfway through the draw.

Open Play [Saturdays 12PM – 8:30PM]
Available for all members. Open Bowling for all Club members for practice or informal games.
